What You Can Expect
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor both in the state of Colorado (LMFT.0002044 / LPC.0017397 ) and California (LMFT.106054 / LPCC.8430). I primarily work with autistic adults 18 and older struggling with sadness, worry, life transitions, emerging adulthood, stress, and relationship problems. I use a variety of different evidence-based techniques (see list below), tailoring your treatment to match you and your situation. I do my best to be open about treatment and work collaboratively with my clients to get the best outcome possible. My therapy is neurodivergent-affirming, trans-affirming, sex-positive, anti-ableist, anti-racist, and culturally sensitive. I strive to create a safe space where you are encouraged to be your true authentic self.
While I specialize in working with autistic adults (diagnosed and self-diagnosed), I do not try to “cure” autism. Instead, I help autistic clients who have struggled to find a therapist who understands the unique struggles in dealing with life’s many challenges. As an autistic person myself, I know how hard it is to find a therapist who is autism-aware and neurodiversity-affirming. Being autistic in a world created by allistics for allistics creates added stress, which adds to anxiety, depression, and other issues. Being different is hard, but it’s also wonderful. If you’re seeking some help and support without judgement, you’ve come to the right place. I can work with you to help organize your thoughts, uncover your goals, and help you find your own bravery and insight to come out the other side stronger, wiser, and true to yourself. I will help you tackle the present challenge, heal emotional wounds from the past, and set the stage for a brighter future. Come, be your authentic self.
Currently, I am only offering teletherapy. You can request an appointment online or over the phone (no text messages please). Please include your reason for seeking therapy and your availability. Once I receive your request, I will contact you as soon as I can (usually within 3 business days). If we both agree to move forward with therapy, you will gain access to the Client Portal, along with some documents to complete before our first session. After finishing those documents, you will receive a link that will be active at our appointment time where we will meet for our first session. We'll review some policies/paperwork and discuss your situation and get to know each other. If you feel like we are a good fit, we can schedule regular appointments going forward and decide together the best treatment options for you.
A Good Faith Estimate is available upon request and/or will be provided prior to your first appointment.
